Pencil Otter
For the long drive

A road-trip activity book made for your drive

Tell us your child’s age and what they love, and where you are going if you like. We make a printable book of 24–48 pages around them: bingo and I spy for the window, mazes, secret codes, a travel map and games to play with a grown-up. You see 4 real pages before you pay, then print it at home before you leave.

Made for your trip

Where you are going

Add a destination and it appears on the cover, the trip page and the travel map.

How long the drive is

Pick under two hours, two to four, or longer. On long drives the trip journal starts with a “halfway there” prompt.

Nothing to charge

Everything works with pencils and colored pencils: no screens, no Wi-Fi, no batteries.

Safe in the car

Spotting games are played from your seat, and the games for two are for a grown-up who is not driving.

Questions parents ask

Do we need a phone or tablet in the car?

No. It is a PDF you print at home before the trip (US Letter or A4). In the car it is just paper and pencils.

What if we don’t know the destination yet?

Leave it out. The book is made around your child’s age and interests; the destination only adds a few trip pages.

Is it only for long drives?

No. Choose 24–48 pages: the smallest book suits a short drive, the biggest one a long day in the car or a whole trip.

Can brothers and sisters share one book?

Each book is made for one child, with their name and age. For two children, make a book for each so nobody fights over the maze.

Can we print it again?

Yes. Print as many copies as your own family needs, for example one for the drive there and one for the way back.
